New Items For Historical Dolls

Exciting historical American Girl fans everywhere, American Girl introduced new outfits for five of the historical dolls! These outfits, which you can see on the American Girl store website and in the new catalog, are $24 each and include a Midsummer dress and basket of flowers for Kirsten, a kite-flying dress and a kite for Addy, a lawn party dress and a partial croquet set for Samantha, a Cincinnati Reds fan outfit and jersey with a baseball and mitt for Kit, and a dude ranch outfit and canteen for Molly. Samantha also has a new lawn party shoes and socks set and Molly gets a pair of cowboy boots; these items are $8. All of the outfits come with a set of 4 trading cards about the character and her outfit. Kaya, Felicity, and Josefina did not get new outfits.

New Items for AGOT and Bitty Baby

The historical dolls are not the only ones who received new items. Bitty Baby has several new outfits and accessories, and the Bitty Twins have new spring outfits as well. Some of Bitty Baby's outfits also come in girl sizes. The American Girl Today line was expanded with quite a few new items, including a pink garden party outfit, new Easter accessories, a white memorable moments outfit, a tropical breezes outfit, a weekend fun outfit, green pajamas, Coconut's sleepover accessories, a 3-in-1 Murphy-style bed, a bedding set, and a pillow and rug set. Many of the outfits also have girl-sized counterparts. Check out the American Girl website for pictures!

Samantha Movie

It's official--the American Girl website has announced the upcoming Samantha movie on The WB television network, which will air this November. In addition, AG ran a sweepstakes in conjunction with the movie where the winner received: roundtrip airfare for 4 to the movie location, a behind-the-scenes visit to the set, a four night stay in a hotel and limousine service to and from the set, $500 spending money, and a walk-on role in the movie for a girl aged 7-12.

Josefina's Birthday at AG Place NY
